The Life of Paul Week 2

This sermon continues a series on the life of Paul, picking up in Acts 9 where Saul of Tarsus encounters Jesus on the road to Damascus. Pastor Jordan recaps how Saul, a deeply religious man who believed he was serving God by persecuting followers of Jesus, had His life radically transformed through a personal encounter with Christ. The focus then shifts to Ananias, an ordinary disciple in Damascus whom God called to go to Saul, lay hands on Him, and restore His sight. Despite his very understandable fear and hesitation, Ananias obeyed, and that single act of obedience set in motion the entire ministry of the apostle Paul. The sermon draws out several key truths: God uses ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things, following Jesus does not exempt us from hardship or suffering, and every believer is uniquely positioned to reach people that no one else can. Pastor Jordan challenges the congregation to stop seeing people through the lens of their past and instead see them as God does. He closes with a pointed question for every listener: Who is your Saul? Who has God been prompting you to reach, and what could God unleash through your simple act of obedience?
